RECIPE

Servings: 3-4 pcs

Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles

  • 1/2 lbs thin-sliced pork belly

  • 2 bunches scallions

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp chuka dashi powder (chicken base)

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/2 pc lemon

  • black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing the ingredients - Chop the scallions and mince the garlic cloves. Cut the pork belly into 1.5 inches. If you decide to use cooking scissors to cut the ingredients, it would give you one less cleaning hassle.

  2. In a frying pan, add the spaghetti noodles, breaking them in half by hand. Add the sesame oil, pork belly, chopped scallions, Chuka Dashi powder, minced garlic, and water to the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium heat for approximately 6 minutes.

  3. Remove the lid from the pan and squeeze the lemon juice into the pan.

  4. Let the spaghetti cook uncovered for an additional 5 minutes. This will allow the water to evaporate and the flavors to meld together. The pork belly will become tender and the spaghetti noodles will absorb the delicious flavors of the dish.

  5. Finally, add black pepper to the pan and give everything a good stir for another minute.
