Sesame Dressing
Homemade Sesame Dressing Recipe
Japanese Roasted Sesame Dressing is a must-have in our home, adding a delicious nutty, rich, and tangy flavor to salads, veggies, and more. We always keep a bottle of the classic Kewpie brand in the fridge. But if you find yourself running low or just want to try making it from scratch, this homemade version is surprisingly easy to whip up and tastes remarkably close to the store-bought dressing!
RECIPE
Servings: 1 small jar
Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
4 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp cooking oil (rice or vegetable oil)
4 tbsp mayonnaise
My Kitchen Tools:
Instructions:
Toast and Grind Sesame Seeds: Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat until golden and fragrant. Let them cool slightly, then grind them with a mortar and pestle or food processor until they reach a coarse powder.
Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the ground sesame seeds, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, and mayonnaise. Stir well until everything is evenly blended and smooth.
Serve or Store: Use immediately over your favorite salad or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Enjoy the savory, creamy, and nutty flavors in every bite!
