It was my lucky day. I was searching for something to make for dinner when I realized we were out of meat. But then, as I peeked into the freezer, I spotted a half-used bag of shrimp. Perfect!

With just one pan and a handful of simple ingredients, I whipped up this Shrimp Yakisoba, a satisfying and flavorful noodle dish that even my little ones devoured. If you're looking for an easy, delicious meal, this recipe is for you!

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

If using frozen shrimp, defrost, peel, and devein them.

Chop the garlic, slice the onion, julienne the carrot, and chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics and Veggies

Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.

Add the garlic, onion, and carrot, and stir-fry until the carrot softens.

Toss in the cabbage and stir-fry for another minute.

  3. Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the pan and sprinkle with salt.

Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp turns pink.

  4. Add the Yakisoba Noodles

Loosen the yakisoba noodles (if they are stuck together, run them under warm water).

Add the noodles, cover with a lid to steam the noodles for a minute. Then mix well.

  5. Season the Dish

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, oyster sauce, and torigara powder.

Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss everything together.

  6. Final Touches

Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and season with black pepper, give everything a final stir, then serve hot!
